Georgia Mountain Scottish Festival & Highland Games Kicks Off This Weekend in Hiawassee

The Georgia Mountain Scottish Festival and Highland Games opens Friday night, June 5, with a traditional Ceilidh at Hamilton Gardens. The full event continues Saturday and Sunday, June 6–7, at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds in Hiawassee with massed pipe bands, Highland dancers, traditional musicians, clan gatherings, and athletic competitions. It’s a vibrant celebration of Scottish heritage and live music in the North Georgia mountains.
